Cerec Crowns In One Day

Porcelain crowns transmit the light like natural teeth and do not darken them like conventional porcelain fused to metal crowns. Our office is proud to be one of the few in the West Palm Beach area that uses the Cerec system to fabricate computer designed and milled porcelain crowns in one day. Our Latest Technology

The Dental Microscope

Our newest aquisiton in dental technology is the Surgical Microscope. The incredible amount of detail that we can see, and was not visible before, allows us to provide the excellent results that we strive for in our work.
The surgical microscope has already become the standard of care in Root Canal Therapy, and allows visualization of areas and conditions that, if unseen, would cause treatment failure.
We are extremely happy to be one of the very few General Dentists in Palm Beach County utilizing the surgical microscope in the treatment of our patients.

Plaque Control Program

Instructions

In order to control and prevent the reoccurrence of gum problems and bone loss that can lead to tooth loss, a daily program to remove the plaque that forms on the teeth needs to be followed. The following is a description of the plaque control program recommended by our office to be used by patients on a daily basis.

Materials:

Very soft tooth brush -with a small head for easier access to difficult to reach areas.
Unwaxed dental floss -about 2 feet.
Interproximal brush -for open spaces between teeth that are large enough to allow brushing between them.
Intra-oral mirror -allows you to see the inside surfaces of teeth and molars that you cannot see otherwise.
Plaque disclosing tablets or liquid -stains the plaque so you can see it and remove it.
Oral irrigation device -(Waterpik, Via-jet) for flushing medicaments at the gum level.
Oral rinse solution -(Scopet, Listerine, Peridex, etc...)

Technique:

Brush using a sulcular technique (bristles angled towards the gums and moving in a circular motion) after every meal. At bedtime, after brushing and flossing, use the plaque disclosing tablets as follows: Chew tablet until dissolved in saliva and swich with it until it covers all the teeth, The spit it all out (do not swallow it). Look in the mirror with good light for red stains on your teeth (usually seen close to the gums and in between teeth and molars). Then use the brush and the floss to get the red stain out. The intra-oral mirror is used at this time to check the inside surfaces. The interproximal brush is also used if indicated. When all the red stain is removed the teeth are free of plaque. As a final method, the irrigating device of your choice used with an anti-plaque rinse (listed previously) has been proven effective in reducing the number of germs in and around the gums that can cause periodontal disease. Follow this method carefully and your chances of successfully preventing further gum problems and eventual loss of teeth should be very good.

If you have any questions about this daily treatment regime please do not hesitate to ask us. The only way to insure that your teeth and gums stay healthy is to remove the plaque every day. Finally, you will be reminded to return to our office periodically for cleanings and examination to check for signs of problems.
